Taquiero Taco Patio, a modern-casual Mexican-style taqueria, has opened its second location in Irvine, at Oak Creek Shopping Center. It offers the same made-from-scratch tortillas, filled with off-the-spit meats, fresh guacamole and vegetables.

“We hand-make every tortilla fresh every day,” says co-founder Sean Young, who toured Mexico with fellow co-founder Roberto Fierro scouting for recipes. (Both pictured above.)

Their signature item is the Al Pastor Quesadilla, a taco with cheese melted onto both sides of the corn tortillas. Their salsa bar features nearly a dozen varieties crafted with ingredients from different regions in Mexico.

The new Oak Creek location is at 5643 Alton Parkway. The original location is in Campus Plaza at 4517 Campus Drive.
