Cinema Circle at THE LOT

Cinema Circle at THE LOT is back and better than ever! For this third edition, the lineup includes five recent amazing films, many of which were nominated at this year’s Academy Awards®. Screenings every Thursday at 6:30pm in THE LOT Fashion Island.

• May 4 – Aftersun (2022) Directed by Charlotte Wells: A girl and her loving, idealistic father take a final trip together at a resort. Nominated for Best Actor (Paul Mescal) at the 95th Academy Awards®.
• May 11 – Alcarras (2022) Directed by Carla Simon: A family faces an uncertain future when they are at risk of losing more than their orchard. Winner of the Golden Bear® for the Best Film at the 2022 Berlin Film Festival.
• May 18 – The Quiet Girl (2022) Directed by Colm Bairead: A 9-year-old girl goes to live with distant relatives and discovers a new way of living. Nominated for Best International Feature Film (Ireland) at the 95th Academy Awards®.
• May 25 – Return to Seoul (2022) Directed by Davy Chou: A French woman returns to South Korea, and looks for her biological parents. Nominated for Best International Feature Film (Cambodia) at the 95th Academy Awards®.
• June 1 – Living (2022) Directed by Oliver Hermanus: A civil servant in 1950’s London decides to experience life after receiving a grim diagnosis. Nominated for Best Actor and Best Adapted Screenplay at the 95th Academy Awards®.
