The Irvine Animal Care Center is inviting all runners, walkers, and animal-lovers to take part in its 2021 Virtual 5K throughout the month of April to support animals in need. In addition to supporting animals, participants can honor the City of Irvine’s 50th anniversary while running or walking their 5K. Special “5K + 50” bonus activities will be announced through social media during April, giving participants the chance to share what they love about Irvine and the Irvine Animal Care Center.
How to Get Involved
Submit an entry fee of $35, complete the 5K between April 1 and April 30, and receive your exclusive medal and certificate. Enter your four-legged friends for an additional $8, and they’ll receive their very own medal for accompanying you on the 5K. Proceeds go toward special programs for the animals.
How Does a Virtual 5K Work?
Virtual 5K events can be done at your own pace, running or walking. Complete your race anywhere, any time. You can even include your four-legged friends! Remember to monitor your race time, so you can fill it in on your certificate.
