If you plan to make it out to Crawford Field to watch the Super Bowl contenders in training, you might want to check out other fun things to do at UCI’s campus. Our five top picks:

 

1. Game on! at UCI Esports Arena (Student Center Terrace)
The first of its kind on a college campus, a gamer’s dream. Students, staff, faculty, alumni and guests can play the most popular games with top-of-the-line technology. $4 per hour; $36 for 10 hours. Hours: 12 p.m.–12 a.m. Mon–Sun. Closed University holidays and for occasional private events and programs.

 

2. Unwind at Anthill Pub & Grille (Student Center Terrace)
The only pub on campus offers craft beer, cider and wine. The burgers, fries (topped with cheese, beef and salsa) and carne asada tater tots are favorites among the young crowd. For vegans: hummus, veggie & potato burrito. Summer hours through August: 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Mon-Wed, 11 a.m.–10:30 p.m Th-Fri.

 

3. Free coffee for feedback at The Cove (Applied Innovation)
Every Wednesday morning, UCI Applied Innovation hosts “1 Million Cups,” open to the public. Free coffee, tea and a 6-minute startup presentation, followed by 20 minutes of audience feedback. 8–9 a.m. at 5141 California Ave.


4. Walk the Ring Road (Aldrich Park)

Modeled after New York City’s Central Park, the campus centerpiece has more than 11,000 trees and shrubs, including 33 species of eucalyptus.

 

5. Botanical beauty (UCI Arboretum)

6. Explore the Korean Corner (Langson Library)
Korean literature, history and cultural resources available for students, faculty and the community. Plus: Cush seating. Hours: 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Mon-Th, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Fri, 1-5 p.m. Sat-Sun . Note: Hours may change during exam periods.
