Study ranks Irvine tops for families

A comparison of 182 cities singled out Irvine as the best place to raise a family in Southern California – and as No. 3 in America.

Welcome news for families. A comparison of 182 cities singled out Irvine as the best place to raise a family in Southern California – and as No. 3 in America.

Irvine outscored all Southern California cities in a tally of 47 key metrics that parents value, including safety, education, parks and places for families to play together.

Other Southern California cities in WalletHub’s 2019 national rankings include San Diego (No. 18), Anaheim (No. 97) and Riverside (No. 120).

Irvine’s Master Plan has intentionally designed a family friendly city – filled with parks, pools and trails, and acclaimed for its schools, safety, shopping and employment. A family plays along Jeffrey Open Space Trail, an example of why Irvine is ranked as the best place to raise a family in SoCal.
