1. Mountain bike skills for kids
What: Mountain biking is a way of life in and around Irvine. Ensure your children are prepared for a safe and fun outing by enrolling them in the Irvine Ranch Conservancy Kids Rider Skills Clinic. The class begins with an overview of bicycle safety and clinic fundamentals followed by a series of exercises demonstrating rider-influenced bike maneuvers such as front and rear wheel lifts, bunny hops, drop/roll-offs, late and emergency braking and cornering techniques.
Where: Originates in Irvine and travels into OC Parks’ Limestone Canyon Nature Preserve.

2. Friday night hike and movie
What: Join your Irvine friends and neighbors for a serene 2-mile evening hike around the Woodbridge Village North Lake followed by a movie at the nearby AMC Cinemas Irvine Woodbridge Movies 5. This community outing is open to all.

3. Soccer at Oak Creek Community Park
What: Join a fun, noncompetitive game of community soccer at Oak Creek Community Park. This free scrimmage is open to both men and women and has become a hub for Irvine community members looking for exercise, community and fun.

4. Bird Walk at San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary
What: The San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary attracts more than 280 species of birds, making it one of Orange County’s premier bird-watching spots. This free monthly walk, with expert birders, will you give all the basics to enjoy watching them. Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult.
