1. Limestone Canyon

Start off your weekend by hiking, biking or riding your horse throughout magnificent Limestone Canyon during Wilderness Access Day. Designated trails will be open for self-guided trail use. Feb. 1, letsgooutside.org.

2. Bommer Canyon

Enjoy self-guided access on Bommer Canyon trails during Wilderness Access Day. The entire southern trail network will be open for hiking and biking. 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Feb. 15,  letsgooutside.org.

3. Super Bowl party

Rush over to Red Bar and Lounge at Hotel Irvine for an all-you-can-eat tailgate party featuring game-day favorites, along with Sunday drink specials. $20 per person for general admission tickets, includes all-you-can-eat. Doors open one hour before kickoff. Hotel Irvine, Feb. 2.

4. Golf clinic

Improve your golf game by spending a few days with tour instructor and world long-drive champion Monte Scheinblum in a small clinic setting. Oak Creek Golf Club, Feb. 8-10.

5. Multimedia exhibit

“From Here to There: A Time Machine” presents new collaborative multimedia works by Michael Chang and Susan Lin that explore notions of ancestry, cultural time and the precariousness of memory. Irvine Fine Arts Center, through March 7.

6. T.J. Miller

Actor and comedian T.J. Miller will take the stage at the Irvine Improv at Irvine Spectrum Center. Miller is known for starring as Erlich Bachman in the HBO sitcom “Silicon Valley” and Weasel in Marvel’s “Deadpool.” Feb. 14, 15 and 16.

7. Lunar New Year

Celebrate Lunar New Year and the Year of the Rat at Irvine Spectrum Center. Activities to take place in the Giant Wheel courtyard include the Chinese dragon dance, fortune cookies and lucky envelopes giveaways, arts and crafts, and more. Noon-2 p.m. Feb. 1.

8. Asian Cultural Festival

Explore the unique characteristics and draw inspiration from traditional Asian cultural objects at the Asian Cultural Festival. Pretend City Children’s Museum, Feb. 8-9; pretendcity.org.

9. Presidents Day

Celebrate America’s past presidents at Pretend City Children’s Museum for Presidents Day. Enjoy a little patriotic adventure through the city while learning all about the role of the president. Feb.17, pretendcity.org.

10. College Hoops

The UC Irvine men’s basketball team will host Cal State Fullerton on Feb. 1 and UC Davis on Feb. 6 at Bren Events Center. Then the Anteaters will take on Long Beach State on Feb. 19 and UC Santa Barbara on Feb. 29.

11. Jazz and blues

Grammy-winner Tom Scott will perform with his jazz fusion group L.A. Express. Scott is a saxophonist, composer and arranger who has worked with such diverse artists as Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand and Carole King. Irvine Barclay Theatre, Feb. 27.

12. Valentine’s dinner

Couples can enjoy a three-course dinner at EATS Kitchen & Bar this Valentine’s evening. The meal starts with an appetizer to share, such as Four Oysters on the Half Shell. Choose two mains with options, such as Lobster Truffle Risotto, and end with a shared dessert. Hotel Irvine, Feb. 14.

13. Farmers market

Shop directly from genuine farmers selling fruits, nuts and vegetables at Irvine Farmers Market, held 8 a.m.-noon Saturdays at Mariners Church. The Great Park also hosts a certified farmers market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Sunday.

14. Meet Kevin Kwan

Kevin Kwan, best known for his debut novel, “Crazy Rich Asians,” will discuss creativity, the cultural impact of his novels, and how diversity in many industries must continue to expand. Irvine Barclay Theatre, Feb. 6.
