A new era begins for the Woodbridge High football program as Aaron Craver takes over for head coach Rick Gibson, who held the job for 32 seasons.

“It’s huge shoes to fill,” says Craver, 51, a former NFL running back who is the only player ever to have caught touchdown passes from both Dan Marino and John Elway. “Rick’s the one who brought me into the program. And coaching with him the last 10 years has been phenomenal.”

The Warriors began a six-game spring season in March.

Craver’s coaching philosophy? “Play every day like it’s the last day you’re ever going to play.”
