Yet the stylish retail center, hailed as an “OC landmark,” is part of a larger mixed-used district that helps drive the city’s economy.

Combined with adjoining office and apartment-home communities, The Market Place stands out as a true live‑work‑play experience.

“We master planned shopping and dining destinations adjacent to resort-style apartment communities and premium office space,” says Irvine Company Senior Vice President Jeff Davis. “All these land uses complement each other. If you want to live near restaurants, shops and even your job, you can.”

With 137 shops, 47 restaurants, 1.3 million square feet of office space and six apartment communities, The Market Place is a prime example of how the Irvine Master Plan delivers a world-class quality of life – across the city.

The Market Place, with its master-planned design, bold architecture and landscape of over 3,000 trees, has attracted top brands since opening 35 years ago.

Resort-style amenities at Las Palmas Apartment Homes include pools, spas, a fitness center and sports courts. The gated community is steps from world-class shopping, dining and entertainment.

Entrepreneurs can schedule lunch, outdoor meetings or a fitness workout on-site at Market Place Center, with 1.3 million square feet of creative office space.

Jeff and Erica Chu and their two daughters visit The Market Place “at least once a week,” Erica says. She does a Target run, and the girls love Yogurtland.

The Market Place offers more than 47 restaurants, from fast‑casual favorites to chef-driven destinations, many with patios for open‑air dining.

Next summer, the area next to the Regal Edwards Market Place theater will debut a new community lawn and plaza for families, friends and the community to gather. Adjacent to this, two new apartment-home communities are being built to meet the needs of young professionals who work at nearby medical and office campuses.
