The Irvine Unified School District recently received two awards from Engineering News-Record magazine for design and construction features at Portola High School.

The Irvine Unified School District recently received two awards from Engineering News-Record magazine for design and construction features at Portola High School. The school, which opened in August 2016, was honored with the “Best of the Best K-12 Education Award” for both California and the nation. In honoring the school, the magazine noted its innovative features that include collaborative and flexible learning spaces, science labs and athletic facilities designed to extend learning.
