Amazon recently launched its second-in-the-nation Amazon Fresh grocery store at The Market Place in Irvine.

The store offers what Amazon calls a “seamless grocery shopping experience,” which combines in-store and online shopping.

Shoppers can use an “order ahead” app to avoid waiting at the deli, meat and seafood counters.

They can use a “dash cart” (a smart shopping cart that reads the prices of items in it) to skip the checkout line. And they can use “Alexa” kiosks to quickly find items in the store.

The 40,000-square-foot store offers a wide assortment of national brands, as well as a range of food prepared in the store every day.

Amazon Prime members can order same-day delivery or pickup, and can use the store to return Amazon purchases without a box, label or tape.
