If you have favorite restaurants in town, encourage them to apply for a new $1,000 grant program.
The business community came together to launch the SafeDineOC campaign for Orange County’s more than 10,000 restaurants and help them meet the state’s public health guidelines.
The county gives each restaurant up to $1,000 to pay for personal protective equipment, employee training and cleaning supplies, using $10 million from the federal CARES Act funding.
“It’s a solid example of business, health, visitor services, government and community all coming together to keep each other safe but still enjoy the best of what Irvine has to offer – its outstanding dining opportunities,” says Lucy Dunn, president and CEO of the Orange County Business Council, which will run the program.
