Support animals in need while enjoying a night on the town at the fifth annual “Comedy Unleashed,” to be held Sept. 21 at Irvine Improv. Nearly half of the ticket proceeds for the fundraiser will go directly to the Irvine Animal Care Center. The event features comedians Matt Braunger, Orlando Leyba and Laura Peek. Braunger, formerly of “MADtv,” has released four Comedy Central specials. Leyba stars in the HBO comedy special “Adorable.” Peek recently was named one of the 50 best undiscovered comics in the country.
