Grab your glove, cleats and high-tops

The City of Irvine is expanding its offering of adult sports leagues. New additions this fall include Friday night Flag Football, Women’s Basketball and Sunday morning Men’s Softball. On its website, the city invites prospective participants to the Friday night Flag Football league to “grab your cleats, dust off your end-zone dance, and head to the new grass fields” at Col. Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park for the inaugural season. The registration deadline for that program is Sept. 17.
