High School teacher is a state finalist

Woodbridge High math teacher Kristie Donavan has been named one of three state finalists in the 2021 Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching program.

Woodbridge High math teacher Kristie Donavan has been named one of three state finalists in the 2021 Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching program. The designation is considered the highest honor in the state for educators in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

“Kristie Donavan has a passion and desire to support student learning at a level found in very few educators,” says Woodbridge High Principal Chris Krebs.

Presidential Award recipients are honored at the White House, where they are given a citation signed by the president and receive a $10,000 award from the National Science Foundation.
