A recent survey by WalletHub ranked Irvine the No. 3 city in America to raise a family.

A recent survey by WalletHub ranked Irvine the No. 3 city in America to raise a family. The survey compared 48 key metrics considered most favorable for family life, including education, safety, health care, jobs, parks, trails and weather.

Irvine was ranked first in the nation in health and safety, which took into account things like access to health care, public safety and air quality in more than 180 U.S. cities. Irvine was ranked third in the nation in education and child care, based largely on school test scores, graduation rates and the success of the Irvine Unified School District.
