It’s good to work in Irvine, and new data backs that up. According to the Orange County Business Journal, 47 of the 100 best places to work in the county are in Irvine. It leads the list. Its next closest competitor has just 11.

The annual ranking is based on employee input, benefits and employee retention. Some of Irvine’s employers, like AI chipmaker Syntiant, were celebrated for unique perks, such as unlimited paid time off. City of Hope was selected, in part, for its commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Irvine was planned as a jobs hub and has a near-perfect 1-to-1 jobs-to-residents ratio.
