Users of the popular travel website Tripadvisor ranked Irvine Spectrum Center the No. 1 shopping mall in Southern California and No. 4 in the U.S. in the latest Travelers’ Choice awards. The outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment destination features over 130 shops and restaurants. Restaurants include Habana (authentic Cuban food and beverages) and new sensation Little Sister (a blend of European and Southeast Asian influences). The center recently underwent a $200 million reinvestment that turned one big-box store into 30 boutiques, restaurants and a striking new Apple Store. Says one Tripadvisor user: “Love the outdoor open spaces!” Says another: “I absolutely LOVE the shops.”
