Electric vehicle maker VinFast, Vietnam’s first global automotive manufacturer, will open a store at Irvine Spectrum Center in early fall.

The company offers two electric SUV models with bundled technologies that include a 15.6-inch display with infotainment features and virtual assistant.

The VF 8 is a mid-size SUV that seats five, starting at $40,700. The 402-horse-power vehicle reaches 60 mph in 5.3 seconds with a range of 292 miles on a single charge.

The VF 9 is a full-size SUV that seats seven, starting at $55,500. Also a 402-horsepower vehicle, it reaches 60 mph in 6.3 seconds with a range of 369 miles on a single charge.

Both models include a 10-year or 125,000-mile warranty.

Established in 2017 as an auto manufacturing subsidiary of Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup, VinFast has quickly expanded its presence in the U.S. since debuting at the L.A. Auto Show last year. The company plans to open a manufacturing plant in North Carolina.
