Running back sets record

Irvine High School

Senior running back Brandon Figueroa scored six touchdowns and set a school record in scoring (36 points) for a game in the Vaqueros’ 57-24 Iota League victory over Canyon at Irvine Stadium. Figueroa had four rushing touchdowns and had kickoff returns of 92 and 98 yards for touchdowns. Figueroa broke the record of 30 points set by Cameron Goods in 2021. “My line made it all easy. You could drive a semitruck through those holes,” Figueroa says. “It was just an amazing experience.”
