Bakers of all ages can now hone their craft with the help of a do-it-yourself baking studio.

Home Baking Day, which recently opened in Culver Plaza, provides the ingredients, utensils, modern equipment and assistance – all in a professional kitchen.

Customers select from a menu featuring cookies, cakes, pies and doughnuts, watch baking instructions on store-provided tablets, pick ingredients and then craft their dessert to take home and enjoy. Both experienced pastry artists and novices without experience are welcomed.

Home Baking Day opened its first studio in Taiwan in 2016 and now operates 11 outlets throughout Asia. The Irvine studio is its first in North America.
