Iceye plans to make satellites in Irvine

Microsatellite manufacturer Iceye US plans to start building its radar-imaging spacecraft in Irvine, where the company is headquartered, according to an Orange County Business Journal report.

The company recently moved to a larger facility in the Irvine Spectrum area, nearly tripling its space for expanded testing and assembly capacity. Its satellites capture images through darkness and cloud cover, providing data to commercial clients and NASA. Iceye US employs 60 people in Irvine.
