Irvine Cares housing program honored

After helping nearly 20 local families find stable housing in less than a year, the Irvine Cares Family Housing Assistance Program has been honored with the Public-Private Partnership Award by the Orange County Business Council.

The initiative – a collaboration between the city, Irvine Unified School District, Irvine Company and Jamboree Housing Corp. – provides affordable housing and support services to families experiencing housing instability. Participants are identified through the school district.

Beyond providing housing, the program offers practical help with everyday challenges, including job training and guidance on securing and keeping a home.
