Bacchus offers the quintessential California lifestyle

Bacchus Bar and Bistro always had a solid happy hour fan base and loyal dinner following, but now the Quail Hill Shopping Center eatery is building its lunch crowd.

Bacchus Bar and Bistro always had a solid happy hour fan base and loyal dinner following, but now the Quail Hill Shopping Center eatery is building its lunch crowd.

Owner Danny Choi credits recent upgrades to the center with a bump in customers.

“I think it has brought more people in,” he says. “The seating is nicer. There are more umbrellas for shade. And they put heaters under the awnings. People are sitting longer instead of just eating.”

Choi, who frequents the Shady Canyon Golf Club about 4 miles down the road, golfs with a number of his customers. Other customers park their bicycles outside.

Quail Hill patrons enjoy wine and cheese at popular Bacchus Bar and Bistro.

“They come over here and have a glass of wine or a beer after their ride,” he says.

Bacchus serves more than 300 varieties of wine – 50, you can order by the glass. It also has a sweet collection of local craft brews. Lunch and dinner menus are seasonally inspired by Chef Leopoldo.

The bistro features live music on weekends and monthly fixed-price wine- tasting dinners at the beautifully remodeled shopping center.

Choi’s favorite part, though?

“I can’t say enough how much we enjoy the clientele in Irvine,” Choi says. “They’re really, really nice.”
