Irvine voted as the ‘Best City to Live In’

OC Register readers voted Irvine the best place to live in Orange County.

OC Register readers voted Irvine the best place to live in Orange County – again.

This is the 13th time that Register readers have voted Irvine the “Best City to Live In” in its annual Best of OC Awards.

The Register’s ranking mirrors national surveys that regularly place Irvine among America’s top cities for health, safety, education, raising a family, finding a job and simply being happy.

“We’re living the good life here,” says Portola Springs resident Chris Banks, noting that he and his family love the opportunities to hike, bike and swim throughout the city. “It’s fantastic.”

The Register’s 2020 Best of OC Awards also distinguish the Irvine Farmers Market as the best in the county.

The market’s more than 100 vendors sell everything from grass-fed beef to cactus flesh to homemade goat-milk soap for your beard.

“It’s not easy to stand out among more than two dozen farmers markets in Orange County,” the Register article says. “But the Irvine Farmers Market, held Saturdays rain or shine from 8 a.m. to noon at Mariners Church, is consistently at the top of the list.”
