Irvine to honor veterans

The city of Irvine is honoring veterans with a special Veterans Day ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 11.

The city of Irvine is honoring veterans with a special Veterans Day ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 11. The city will pay tribute to veterans past and present in recognition of their patriotism, commitment to serve and sacrifice for the common good. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Formal Garden at Col. Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park, 4 Civic Center Plaza. The event is free and open to the public. Additionally, the city’s Senior Services division is offering to place a flag in the yard of any veteran age 50 or older. Flags will be delivered Nov. 9-10.
