Northwood High Principal Leslie Roach has received Administrator of the Year honors from the Association of California School Administrators. Roach was named the 2021 Marcus Foster Memorial Award recipient for the Southern California region.

The award honors school administrators who demonstrate outstanding leadership and significant contributions to education.

“Leslie truly has all of the qualities that I believe are essential to leadership: intelligence, passion, dedication and an endless reserve of energy,” says Irvine Unified School District Assistant Superintendent Cassie Parham.

Roach previously taught math and was an activities director for IUSD before becoming Northwood’s principal in 2007.

She will now be considered for the ACSA State Administrator of the Year.
