The hill and rocky outcroppings above Chaparral Park in Turtle Rock Village now have an official name: Sunset Point. Irvine conducted public surveys, held public meetings and consulted with the Acjachemen Nation tribal manager (whose people once occupied the hills) before choosing the name. The public was encouraged to offer input on name selections before the final choice was revealed. You can check out Sunset Point by hiking up the trail located at the corner of Turtle Rock Drive and Sundance Drive. Best time to go? The name says it all.
