1. Pentatonix

A cappella group Pentatonix, known for producing cover versions of modern pop works and Christmas songs along with original material, will make a stop in Irvine as part of The World Tour with special guest Lauren Alaina. FivePoint Amphitheatre, 8 p.m. Sept. 11, livenation.com.


2. Ukulele virtuoso

Taimane, a Hawaiian-born singer-songwriter, has established herself as one of the leading ukulele players in the world, known for her fierce and inventive style of play. 3. Standup comedy

Martin Amini’s standup touches on what it’s like growing up in America coming from a Bolivian and Iranian background. After making his TV debut on “Laff Tracks” on truTV, Amini filmed “Son of An Ice Cream Man” at The Kennedy Center. Irvine Improv, 8 p.m. Sep. 13, improv.com/irvine.


4. Family hike

Enjoy nature with friends and family in Round Canyon, hiking along a fairly flat trail and watching for red-tailed hawks and mule deer. The interpretive hike averages 2-3 miles round trip at an easy pace. Preregistration required. 5-7:30 p.m. Sept. 10, letsgooutside.org.


5. Sand volleyball

6. Farmers market

7. Storytime at the Barnyard

8. Kidz Bop

Kidz Bop will make a stop in Irvine as part of the Kidz Bop Never Stop Live Tour to perform family-friendly versions of today’s biggest pop music hits. The show will see the return of the Daddy Dance Off, giving dads the chance to show off their best dance moves on stage. FivePoint Amphitheatre, 4 p.m. Sept. 10, livenation.com.


9. Weir Canyon

Spend the morning in an oak woodland watering coast live oak seedlings in Weir Canyon. You will travel for 15 minutes in a safari-style truck, giving you majestic views of the canyon. No experience necessary. Preregistration required. 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 12, letsgooutside.org.
