City of Hope Orange County President Annette Walker has been named chairwoman of the board of directors of the CEO Leadership Alliance Orange County. The group works collaboratively to fuel economic growth, create new jobs and strengthen local businesses.
In 2018, Walker was tapped to lead City of Hope Orange County – a $1 billion campus being developed at Barranca and Alton parkways. She oversaw the 2022 opening of its Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, a 190,000-square-foot facility dedicated to cancer treatment, research and prevention. Work is now underway on an adjacent, six-story cancer hospital that will open in 2025.
City of Hope is among the largest cancer research and treatment organizations in the U.S. and one of the leading research centers for diabetes and other life-threatening illnesses.
