Irvine students outperformed all of California school districts in standardized assessment tests in science, math and English.

The Irvine Unified School District earned the highest ranking among public school districts of 35,000 or more students on the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress.

This is the seventh consecutive year IUSD students have outscored both county and state averages.

More than 75% of IUSD students met or exceeded standards in English, and 70% met or exceeded standards in math.

The assessment measures knowledge of academic content standards and English language development. Scores are used to improve upon the high-quality instruction provided by the district’s teachers.
