IVC executive named a next-gen leader

Martha McDonald, vice president of student services at Irvine Valley College, has been selected as one of 35 leaders for the 2023-24 class of Aspen Rising Presidents Fellowship.

Martha McDonald, vice president for student services at Irvine Valley College, has been selected as one of 35 leaders for the 2023-24 class of the Aspen Rising Presidents Fellowship.

The program aims to prepare the next generation of leaders who could transform community colleges to achieve equity in student success.

The incoming class of Aspen Rising Presidents Fellows represents institutions that are located in 18 states, from small rural colleges to large urban campuses.

The fellows will work closely with accomplished community college presidents, industry leaders and Stanford faculty over 10 months to prepare themselves to enter a college presidency.
