One of America’s fastest-growing hamburger chains has announced it will open its first Orange County store at Irvine Spectrum Center.

One of America’s fastest-growing hamburger chains has announced it will open its first Orange County store at Irvine Spectrum Center.

Shake Shack is expected to open this summer near the Regal movie theater.

“We are excited to bring Shake Shack to Orange County,” says Chief Development Officer Andrew McCaughan. “We see this as a huge opportunity for the company and can’t wait to serve our delicious burgers and shakes to the community. Irvine Spectrum has been a great partner for our first OC Shack.”

The company sprouted from a small food cart in Madison Square Park in Manhattan in 2001.

That first Shake Shack was designed to be part of a community, according to CEO Randy Garutti. And since then, the goal of each new store is to create a new community gathering place.

Shake Shack is known for made-to-order Angus beef burgers, crinkle-cut fries, hand-spun milkshakes, house‑made lemonades, beer and wine.
