In one, comedian Will Ferrell made cameos in several Netflix hits, including “Bridgerton” (above), “Squid Game” and “Army of the Dead,” where he tells a zombie biting his arm: “Ow, I said no biting.”

Ferrell, star of the GM/Netflix campaign to promote electric vehicles, was born and raised in Irvine, attending Culverdale Elementary, Rancho San Joaquin Middle School and University High. He played soccer and football, served on the student council and reportedly used disguised voices to make announcements over the school loudspeaker.

Bass Pro Shops’ ad featured gorgeous scenes from the outdoors, including a world-record-sized arctic char, caught and released on a fly fishing trip with the store’s founder, Johnny Morris, and his son John Paul.

Bass Pro plans to open a new Outdoor World superstore at a 140,000-square-foot location in Alton Marketplace this year.
