With its safe neighborhoods, world-class schools and leafy parks, Irvine earned the No. 3 spot in WalletHub’s “Best Places to Raise a Family” list.
Analysts compared 182 U.S. cities across 45 key metrics, including housing costs, local schools, health care systems and opportunities for outdoor recreation.
With low property crime and traffic fatality rates – along with the lowest violent crime rate per capita in the U.S. – Irvine earned the highest score in the ranking’s health and safety category.
Irvine also earned the No. 2 spot in the ranking’s education and child care category.
