Woodbridge STEM teacher honored

Woodbridge High School career technical education teacher Daniel Pilchman has been named a 2025 Outstanding STEM Educator by the Orange County Department of Education, earning the Outstanding Career Awareness Educator honor.

The award recognizes educators who spark students’ curiosity through real-world science, technology, engineering and math lessons.

Pilchman teaches manufacturing at Woodbridge, where students design and build hands-on projects such as electric guitars. The work helps students learn how tools, materials and technology are used in real jobs, preparing them for life after graduation.

He was one of 12 Orange County teachers and community partners recognized for their contributions to STEM education.
