Irvine Ranch Water District has awarded its first WaterStar Restaurant Certification to Cucina Enoteca, a California-inspired Italian kitchen and wine shop at Irvine Spectrum Center.

The restaurant saves water and energy with an EPA EnergyStar-certified commercial dishwasher and an air-cooled ice machine. It also installed high-efficiency faucets and uses IRWD’s free, water-efficient pre-rinse spray valves.

“Everyone should do their part to save water,” restaurant manager Sal Hernandez says. “We are happy to be recognized for being water conscious.”

Cucina Enoteca celebrates its eighth anniversary at Irvine Spectrum Center this month.

IRWD was established in 1961 and is an industry leader in water conservation and sustainable practices.
