Fresh produce is in the box at Manassero Farms

Red beets, baby bok choy, strawberries and broccoli are just some of the fresh vegetables and fruits you could get each week in The Original Manassero Farms’ produce boxes.

Red beets, baby bok choy, broccoli, green cabbage, cauliflower, celery and organic strawberries. These are some of the fresh vegetables and fruits you could get each Wednesday in The Original Manassero Farms’ new produce boxes. They are available for curbside pickup or by delivery if you live within 2.5 miles of the flagship stand next to Irvine Valley College and spend more than $75.

“They’re so popular,” says Anne Manassero, who owns the farm with her husband, Dan. “I’m trying to get people to get used to cooking with fresh produce.”

You can select from a variety of boxes, such as The Basic Box, The Berry Bountiful and The Dani Detox Box. They each come with a weekly supply of fruit and vegetables, plus a surprise item and recipe.

For every Basic Box you buy for donation, Manassero Farms will also donate a Basic Box to Loaves & Fishes X10, a nonprofit organization that works with food pantries and churches around Orange County.

Manassero Farms is well known for its fresh strawberries. You can pick up those and other fresh produce picked that day at the Irvine stand. There’s even a beautifully decorated event space featuring an herb garden and “barn” tent where you can enjoy a farm-fresh meal.

“Running Manassero Farms in Irvine for almost 60 years through the three family generations has been incredible,” Anne Manassero says. “We love the people and the location. We are a community here and take pride in working within the Irvine neighborhoods to bring healthy choices to not only our family and friends, but others around the country.”
