Alpha Motor Corp., an Irvine-based electric vehicle startup, has unveiled the concepts of its fifth design, receiving praise from industry experts for its retro-inspired aesthetics.

Alpha’s Saga Estate is an electric crossover, which offers a more comfortable ride and better fuel economy compared to truck-based sport utility vehicles.

Saga Estate will have an estimated front and rear combined cargo volume of 35 cubic feet. The vehicle will be equipped with a 450- volt dual motor, all-wheel-drive system powered by an 85-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack for an estimated range of 300 miles.
