Heading to the beach?

Summer Breeze” — a bus service provided by the City of Laguna Beach in partnership with the Orange County Transportation Authority — will ferry riders from Irvine to Laguna Beach and back again on the weekends.

As summer weather and events roll in, Irvine residents can roll on down to the beach while leaving the driving to someone else.

And it’s all free.

For the third year in a row, “Summer Breeze” — a bus service provided by the City of Laguna Beach in partnership with the Orange County Transportation Authority — will ferry riders from Irvine to Laguna Beach and back again on the weekends.

The service begins June 30 and runs through September 2, Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to midnight. The bus departs every half hour.

Stops include Sawdust Art Festival, Laguna Art-A-Fair, Festival of the Arts, Pageant of the Masters, Laguna Playhouse, and the Laguna Beach Bus Station.

From the bus station, hop on the free Laguna Beach Trolley, which connects with shopping and restaurant destinations along Pacific Coast Highway.

You can catch “Summer Breeze” — OC Bus Route 689 — by parking (also free) at the Limestone parking lot at the juncture of SR 133 and the I-405. N
